From Bilbao
If we arrive to Cantabria from the East (Basque Country), we will make it by the North freeway A-8. We will leave in both sides of the motorway the towns Castro Urdiales, Laredo, Astillero and Torrelavega and always driving by the A-8 freeway we will arrive to Cabezón de la Sal, where we will turn left to get the regional road CA-185. After the villages Carrejo and Ruente we will find Barcenillas where we turn left to ascend 1 ½ miles up to Lamiña. We follow the road to the center of the village to find a basin for traditional laundry where we turn right to catch a narrower road that goes by the side of a stable up to the higher part of Lamiña where the apartments are.
